Cantamination
According to a major study, there are 21,000 pieces of plastic in the ocean for each person on Earth. When breaking down into small particles, they are easily and unavoidably ingested by marine life, resulting in a series of toxic effects.
The same occurs with the increasingly high concentration of chemicals in the ocean due to intentional discharges, oil spills, and even runoffs.
Through Cantamination, our aim is to illustrate the extent of danger Earth’s marine life is currently facing. The project showcases a series of seafood cans and their high levels of contamination, a state in which they could potentially be sold in a near future.
